Prayer for Ukraine.
God of peace and justice,
we pray for the people of Ukraine today.
We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow,
that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or peace,
for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions.
Above all, we pray for all your precious children, at risk and in fear,
that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Amen

Continuing the support for Ukraine.
Thank you all for the help you have provided for the folk of Ukraine over the last 12months. The ladies who have knitted woollen garments to the people who have provided food and toiletries, a very big thank you. Your kindness is very appreciated and is still very much needed. So far from our area of Leicestershire we have sent over 1,500 parcels of food and clothes etc.
So please bring them to Croft Church or contact Eddy Brew on 0116 2849372 and we will collect the parcels to pack and send to Ukraine.
The following items are still needed: canned food, pasta, rice etc, cup-a-soup, coffee sachets, protein bars, baby food, kids snacks, warm mens wear, gloves, socks, thermal underwear, sleeping bags, blankets, toiletries, pain killers, tooth brushes and paste, wet wipes, pocket tissues, first aid kits etc.
